He's not giving a speech, he's delivering a string of applause lines.

This is the most disgusting, pandering bullshit since his last disgusting, pandering bullshit. He just spews a short sentence and gets immediate applause and standing ovations. He said "we love the flag" and the crowd jumps to it's feet, and he smiles and says "thank you, thank you," as if he had actually SAID something. This is one big giant room-full of stupid.

Curiously, when he said just said that he's about to give massive tax-cuts to the people it was met with very tepid applause. Same when he mentioned his health care EO...tepid applause. God, guns and flag are great, but they didn't seem so enthused about losing health care and giving their money to billionaires.

tRump needed his “fix” of applause so why not at the Value Voters summit? Easy enough to throw a few gimmies out there to get their patriotic hearts swollen with pride, eh? So they all get what they want. They get the warm fuzzies for flag, mom and apple pie while Trumpolini gets his dose of high praise and boot licking he apparently needs to get over the sad he feels.

Think I will go out in the garden and eat worms.

And he just basks in their adoration. Their mutual desperate need for each other is a revolting sight to behold. It's like they thrive on hatred and resentment. It's obscene. I feel like I am looking at a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah.

he really insults my intelligence and my mental health. He is a BS artist of the highest degree, and he needs his fix of screwing around with people's heads.

Has he said anything about California yet? or even the Green Berets that were killed? Oh let there be a very hot place for him to go, and I am not talking about Florida.

feels about his base can be gleaned from recalling his words to them (paraphrasing): I can kill an innocent person right in front of you and you'd still support me.

He wouldn't say that to people he respected. Or to people he thought were intelligent, good people. Period.

And that's not to say that he's not really conservative or truly liberal or whatever. He's an unscrupulous narcissist. His only ideology is money, regardless of what it takes to get it.
