"In America, we don't worship government, we worship God."

So says the twice divorced/thrice married, pussy grabbing, debt cheating, draft dodging, lying, areligious political charlatan.

Context: some speech Himself is giving to some fawning, cheering group of losers. 10.40 AM EDT 10.13.2017

One of the articles of their faith is that libruls worship big government to do everything for citizens and save people from the just consequences of their irresponsible actions. The irresponsible actions a person can take includes a surprising array of occurrences, both volitional and circumstantial. This holds true mostly for people they don't like.

Naturally, this philosophy does not include themselves: They are deserving of every government handout they get, and they must be shielded from the consequences of circumstances beyond their control. The definition of circumstances beyond the control of a Values Voter is remarkably elastic, and covers anything from natural disasters to their own stupidity.

So, in this warped view of reality, any misfortune that befalls you is because you had it coming, and nobody is obliged to help you, certainly not them. Any reversals they experience, on the other hand, must be immediately redressed because they're such good friends with God.
