How are you all holding up, DU friends?

I have to confess that the past months are trying my resolve. It bends my mood. It is a constant burden, a weight, a cloud of impending doom brought on by so much exposed willful ignorance desire to harm people.

by the way, I've never been so thankful to have a like-minded haven in which to read and share....DU. and YOU.

Maybe once my health issues are resolved I will have more energy but since they keep compounding, I have no idea when that will happen.

I had a lot of stress dealing with my parents so know how to deal with stress.

Do not let what is going get to you.

Turn off the tv, smart phone, and computer for awhile.

Take a walk.

Get out of the house.

It is a dangerous time not a good time to get sick.

What will happen will happen.

Enjoy everyday.

Do not let the republicans get you down.

Couple in this unstable level of political structure, and we're all going to be at least a bit off our game.

What we have to do is keep trying, keep fighting and keep working for the things we believe in. Especially when it's more difficult, like now.

Keeping focused can be a bit difficult at times, but we must persist in our resistance.

The added bonus is, every time I do something to resist it elevates my mood. Fighting back against this administration is not only good for the country, it's good for our individual mental health!

i am excited about helping her get elected. working on stuff to stand up her campaign.
running for county board in a red/trending purple area.
peter ro-scum is her rep, but hillary won the county.

she kicks it all off on nov 3.
it's small, but it is big to us.

I've started with panic attacks and sleeping only a fitfull 4 hrs a night. Just feeling like I can't get enough breath. I'm physically breathing fine, it just feels like hands are around my throat or pinching my nose. The feeling goes away when I fall asleep, and for the first few minutes I'm awake. I know it's anxiety. I had it when my dad and mom were going through their last days, and off/on re: worrying about my kids and their future. Our son turns 18 in May, so he'll have to register for the draft.

I've developed a bleeding ulcer that has put me in the hospital four times this summer. And my cancer is back.

I blame Trump!

It's no doubt tough to stay positive, but I'm doing pretty well.

When I get down I just remember - Mueller has hired a slew of white shoe criminal attorneys who are taking HUGE pay cuts to work for him. Attorneys like that don't go to work for the government unless it is the case of the century. Mueller is going to take down the traitors.

Stay positive! Positive persistence. I try to do a small thing every few days.

Major life change about to happen to me that, in part, is due to anxiety generated about the future of the country
and in part due to anxiety about my personal circumstances: a sort of confluence of dual rivers of anxiety.

Needless to say, I have not been sleeping well for months. Rarely more than 4 hours and sometimes only in one or two hour
increments. But, I made a decision in the last couple of weeks that has resulted in better sleep than I've had in a long, long time.
