He has already lost by calling her a "liar". I don't know anything about the congresswoman, but who is well known for lying about many things?. Size of the crowd, who he calls, what he says? Almost any honest person would win a "Twitter war" with him.

But... In a way, I think this was another "bonus" distraction for him. He's probably grateful to her in his own demented way. Now he doesn't have to think about Sessions' testimony, Puerto Rico, Mueller, or any of the other substantive issues of the day.

but the fact that Trump has doubled down on this one shows he has no sense of decency. He cannot leave it alone. He thinks in a day or two it will be over. ..not this one. This one will stay in the minds of most of us as to who Trump is/ was for a very long time..

Just as important...The fact that the media is finding out that he did not contact other families in the same situation, will make this much worse.

When the proof comes on what other presidents have done, compared to Trump, this will blow up more. But we will see. This particular lie will not go away soon in my opinion. It hurts almost everyone since the topic is so horrific

Just like in the rest of the grown-up world, when adults don't call out other adults for acting like children, it gets worse and worse until eventually someone has to get smacked.
