For some Mississippians, the American Health Care Act would mean an increase in tax credits. For others, it would mean a decrease. Wochit

Where will they go for insurance?
"I don't have an answer for that," Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney said Monday. He approved the insurance companies' 47 percent premium increase for Health Care Marketplace plans two weeks ago, after having predicted Trump's decision.
Under the ACA, the federal government paid cost-sharing subsidies to insurance companies to help lower deductibles and co-pays for consumers. Insurers are still required to provide the discount, but without the federal subsidy, they will have to significantly raise premiums to make up the loss.

.......In Mississippi, a state that went for Trump 3-2, 80 percent of folks who receive coverage through the insurance exchange benefit from the subsidy.
Mitchell said folks who fall off the marketplace are likely to become uninsured, which puts them at risk not only health-wise, but economically.
"So many families in Mississippi are on the edge of poverty and just trying to achieve economic independence," Mitchell said. "One instance of having an injury is enough to put someone, a family in bankruptcy. That's one impact on Mississippians I don't think gets a lot of attention."

The people who voted for that creature roosting in the White House?
Well, they voted for this, so I can't find a lot of room for sympathy. It wasn't a secret plan and they let their hatred win over the well being of themselves and their families.
