I agree 100%

Has there ever been a high? Absolutely not! The bar is way too low, yet he never rises above it.

exactly. Every time he does something completely obnoxious the pundits and others say "this is a new low. Even for trump" Or "just when I think he can't get any worse, he does"

How is telling a widow that her husband knew what he signed up for any worse than calling a whole race of people rapists, drug dealers and murderers. How is that worse than saying there are good people on both sides-referring to white supremacists. or all of the other despicable things he has said? They are all horrifying coming from the president of the United States.

There is no bottom of the barrel for him. He says and does these things as if it is perfectly normal. Almost like this is the BEST phrase or action he can come up with. He doesn't search for ways to be disgusting, he looks for ways to be acceptable and this is the best he can do. IOW what we are witnessing is trump with his best foot forward. And that is one reason why he gets so angry when called on his shit. He thinks he was being nice.

a low that he might recognize is to be booted out of office, sent to jail and be stripped of all the golden possessions. It would, of course, not be his fault. I would accept that as a truly new low.

It's like there is a half (or less) of a person (personality, soul, whatever) in there, who actually thinks he is doing things well.

I could go on, but I realize I'm singing to the choir.

Cheers!

her husband knew what he signed up for lower than saying Mexicans are rapists, drug dealers and murders. How is that lower than saying there are good people on both sides, referring to white supremacists.

IOW these are not "new lows, even for trump" by saying that the implication is his other words are not as bad as what he is saying today. This shit is normal for him to say. His usual low.

That the list of inappropriate, ill thought out statements by tRump just keep piling up. How you rate them (new low, lowest of the low, etc) depends on how it strikes the individual at the moment. So some of us see it as a new low. Others say it is just another day in tRumplandia.

Regardless of where we rate his terrible comments and official statements, we tend to agree that he is pathetic excuse for a leader. At a time when we need someone to issue statements that comfort and bring us together, he seems to have a unique ability to do exactly the opposite. Analyzed further, those statements give us a peek into the inner workings and thought processes of his mind. And what we see is frightening and terrible. Agreed?
