I'm not knocking NJ, especially since it would be a red to blue flip, but Gillespie has gone full-on racist. If that works ina state that Trump lost, it will be a genuine nightmare.

I have to admit that I've been paying less attention to NJ because I assumed that the Christie backlash would doom any Republican this year, but now I hope that Murphy wipes the floor with her.

Some of them are too racist and happy and content with the demonization of immigrants and PoC so the rest is just gravy. Others are too stupid and somehow believe they'll be better off with guns, but without jobs and health insurance. They will not go away. There's a lot of them, but there's a lot more of us.

We just need to work harder than ever to reach out to voters and GOTV because we're not just fighting these horrible morans, but the Russians, gerrymandering, etc.

We shouldn't discount that. I just attended 4 college football games in 4 different southern states within 15 days. The crowd now goes nuts when the flag is displayed or anthem played. The spectators intentionally go overboard nuts, like they are making a statement in support of Trump. The decibel level is probably triple the norm level pre-Kaepernick and this issue.

At all 4 of those games I was thinking the same thing -- this is the type of crowd/world Hillary Clinton and Rachel Maddow were underestimating last year. And it continues today.

We need independents to tip the advantage to our side. The Republican base is not going to stay home and hand it to us.

We have a county executive race that I would love to take from a pig of a republican. It's mostly a Democratic county but this guy slithered in somehow. Lots of lawyers in my family and there are always judges I need to vote for. But oh yeah, I'M PISSED!

I will never understand not voting if you're able. People die fighting for that right all over the world. How can people justify sitting on their asses waiting for the perfect candidate when so much is at stake?

Learned a lesson and never made the mistake again. I still remember my parents taking me into the booth and letting me pull the levers. It never occurred to me not to vote. It's those that expect 100% purity that work my last nerve.

Those things are things and they live in that 'space'. It's where they are happiest.

However - it will ENRAGE Trump - and that's a good thing.

That said - take nothing for granted.

We are taking NOTHING for granted in NJ.

Gerrymandered for a Republican. I already voted but I know down the ticket it won't count.

We had 2 BOE candidates for 2 seats. (I have VAN access so I looked them up). Nonpartisan race-- 1 D and 1 unaffiliate.

Contact the campaign and see if you can help with GOTV if you live locally.

If you do not live local, there may be phonebanking available remotely or on a predictive dialer.

If nothing else, volunteer for your local Democratic candidates (THIS YEAR) and help GOTV. Do not take any race from school board all the way to governor for granted.
