political and personal spite. There will be no fix as long as the GoP holds a majority.

The best that can be done is hope you are giving Trump and the GOP the rope to hang themselves and be prepared to clean up the mess afterward.

If it can garner enough votes, Trump doesn't even factor into things. If nothing ends up happening, though, the consequences belong on Trump/GOP. Well, I guess that we'll probably just have to wait until the carnage starts for them to do anything (and maybe not even then).

Leadership wants to kill the bill otherwise it would likely pass in both houses and force 45 to sign or veto. If he signs it, the Repubs break a promise to repeal the ACA. If he vetoes it, then he and the Republicans fell the full wrath from Americans over the looming destruction of the health care system in this country which they caused.

he demands more concessions. It's not just Trump who pulls that crap. Recall that when DEMs were crafting ACA, the GOPers were adding amendments to the bills. But when time to vote came, they wouldn't vote.
