Its always about them

It’s their free speech.
Their religious freedom.
Their right to protest.

It’s the very crux of totalitarianism. The approach is textbook. It’s the same approach used by their white nationalist leader trump.
We a living, real-time example of how these movements work and how they gain so much control if people let them.
All they need is a platform and a passive audience. They don’t need everyone to agree, just enough, even a little, even if the entire movement is based on misinformation and disinformation, it only requires some. Others will be forced in line through fear and/or violence. You dont think every German agreed with Hitler and the Nazis Party do you? Fear, violence and social pressures are a powerful force to make others fall in line with your perspective, no matter how twisted or cruel.

These people are not that smart or organized but we should never give them a stage or allow their comments to go unchallenged or unchecked. To do so would risk the opportunity to take hold in a society already rift with distrust and institutional racism and sexism.
