Imagine that you show extreme heroism and win the Medal of Honor.

Your heroism was in a war now nearly half a century ago, its living veterans old men.

Serious people, applying serious scrutiny to your heroism and bravery, deem you worthy of this extraordinary award. You shall be joining a very elite club. This of us who served contemporaneously can appreciate what your honor and award really mean. Selflessness. Devotion to Duty. Staying the Course. True concern for the well being of your fellow warriors.

And if you're a combat medic, you did all of this unarmed. Your fellow travelers tell us how you used your own body to shield those you carried off the battlefield. Indeed, you did this SIXTY times.

And the medal is awarded to you by President Six Bone Spur Deferment Donald. In fact, you're the second person to get this medal from him.

He also I think said twice that the medic went to treat wounded firing on the enemy. Maybe that is correct, he was a special forces medic. Medics usually don't do that as far as I know. They don't carry an assault weapon doing that. I suppose because they have all their other equipment to pack, plus if they are dragging a wounded man to cover, they can't pack a weapon back too.

Medal of honor worthy actions by a medic certainly don't need to be embellished with "Rambo" style heroics, it's already heroic enough.

I was also wondering just how long this had been scheduled? Was it something thrown together because of the latest shitstorm Trump brought on himself?
