Texas dad admits disposing of child's body, affidavit says

(Hopefully he will get charged with murder after they find the cause of death. The current charge doesn't carry the death penalty. They found her just a couple miles from the office I am sitting in.)

http://edition.cnn.com/2017/10/24/us/texas-missing-child-adoptive-father-charged/index.html

The adoptive father of a Texas 3-year-old who had been missing for two and a half weeks admitted to police that he disposed of the child's body after she choked on her milk, according to a probable cause affidavit released Tuesday.

Previously, Wesley Mathews had told authorities he made Sherin Mathews stand outside because she wouldn't drink her milk, and she disappeared.

Authorities confirmed Tuesday that the body of a child found Sunday in a culvert beneath a road was that of Sherin Mathews. The cause of death was still pending, the Richardson Police Department posted on its verified Facebook page, citing the Dallas County Medical Examiners Office.

Wesley Mathews has been charged with injury to a child, a felony punishable with a maximum 99 years in prison, Richardson police said. He was being held on $1 million bond.

I cannot imagine the fear, the suffering, etc.

I'd have plenty to say about the father, but you beat me to it!!!

The fact she is refusing to cooperate with the investigation is a red flag.

He already murdered their daughter....

Not that this exempts her from some punishment....

Just didn't know how. Wonder if he was forcing the milk down her throat.

He should rot in prison forever.

What a sweet looking little girl. RIP

He needs his day in court and then a trip behind the barn where he meets his end with a .22.

His changed story says he was trying to make her drink milk in a garage. Why the garage ?

And why not call 911 right away if he thought she was choking on milk.

She was also adopted a bit over a year ago. I think they only did it for the status in their community.

Wouldn't most parents be disgusted by the first story he gave of leaving her out at 3 am.

At that age even in the daylight parents keep a watch on their kids.

It's no excuse for allowing the child to be abused though.

How long has she been enabling this behavior?

Very sad. Many of us had predicted this conclusion, but I still held out hope for a different outcome.

Bless that little girl. May she RIP.

20. I Read that the Mother was a Registered Nurse
Wed Oct 25, 2017, 01:22 AM

a registered nurse that worked at some dallas children's medical center .

there is something really fucked up about this whole thing. why wouldn't you wake her up ?

it makes no sense to not call 911 or wake up someone ,especially if it's your spouse who is a medical worker.

also, i believe during the first reports of her going missing it was mentioned that child services had already went to the home before so something happened before.

also read that the NGO/orphanage she was adopted from was shut down. and they adopted just over a year ago. not sure when and why it was shut down though.
