At least one person is questioning Corbett's motives in the Sandusky case

Jerry Sandusky case: Pennsylvania attorney general candidates draw different conclusions from Freeh Report

The Louis Freeh Report on the Penn State scandal had much to say about the university, its administrators and the reverence for its football program. But when it comes to what the report says about the criminal investigation of Jerry Sandusky and university administrators, the two candidates vying to be the state’s next attorney general draw very different conclusions.

Republican candidate David Freed, the Cumberland County district attorney, said the report is a tribute to the “hard-working investigators” from the state attorney general’s office who handled the case.

His Democratic opponent, Kathleen Kane, said the report renewed her criticism of the attorney general’s use of a grand jury to investigate a child sex abuse case that left a predator on the streets for years. Kane said that potentially gave Sandusky the opportunity to endanger more children...........

Kane has questioned whether Gov. Tom Corbett’s political aspirations played a role in the pace of the case.
