A spokeswoman for the Obama campaign is decrying an out of context video by Mitt Romney that chops up portions of the presidents speech to make them appear as one continuous (and highly misleading) passage. The video centers on a spech the president gave in Virginia praising public investments in infrastructure.
Mitt Romney will do anything to change the conversation from his Bain tenure, offshore accounts, and investments in foreign tax havens, even distorting President Obamas words in his newest video, OFA spokeswoman Lis Smith said in a statement. As President Obama said, when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative but also because we do things together a remark Mitt Romney himself says he agrees with on the campaign trail. That is why the President is committed to building an economy that invests in education, infrastructure, and innovation alongside strong business growth. But Mitt Romney has a record of bankrupting businesses, laying off workers, and helping ship American jobs overseas to make a profit as a corporate buyout specialist. His attempt to take the Presidents words out of context and turn it into a political attack cannot distract from his record of fighting against the middle class.

As the Washington Post notes, Romneys latest web video stitches together lines from an Obama speech in Virginia last week to make it appear as if they are one continuous passage.
