by blue aardvark
The Salt Lake Tribune reported on Thursday that prosecutors charged GOP fundraiser Greg Peterson with 23 felony counts, including the rapes of four women. Jail records online showed that he was still being held on $750,000 bond.

And here is a picture of this alleged rapist shaking hands with Mitt Romney.
Here is a link to Petersen's Facebook page, which prominently features the Romney photo. He's a financial planner who studied at BYU and claims to speak Spanish and Russian.
And this must be kept in mind.

(11,087 posts)Certainly the Ron Paul/Texas Libertarian wing. Their fundamental law is "Might makes Right." One person selfishly taking advantage of another--that's fine. If she can defend herself, that's OK, too. If she can't, well, then she doesn't really have the right to be safe then. The government should not try to impose additional burdensome restrictions on his behavior, either. That would be taking away his freedom--to rape others. Since corporations are people, too, my friend, they get to rape EVERYBODY!

The candidate, Clayton Williams, had initially played down the remark as being a joke.
Women's groups and political opponents of Mr. Williams strongly criticized the candidate for the comment.
It ''questions his ability to understand the kinds of problems faced by the people of Texas,'' said Ann Richards, the State Treasurer and a runoff candidate for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination. ''Rape is a crime of violence.''
