We are in trouble. Some Republicans don't see the connection between

healthcare and good health.

Brief conversation with a Republican:

Him: I agree with Trump on healthcare. Let ObamaCare fail. Let it blow up.

Me: But people are going to die without healthcare.

Him: They're dying anyways. Not everyone can afford healthcare.

Me: But Trump hasn't offered a plan to replace it and people are not going to be willing to let go of something without knowing what the long game is for Trump. (Because, lets face it, the only long game for Republicans is to do away with government, make it smaller by reducing its obligations and give the money back to their donors.)

Him: It doesn't matter because it's the insurance companies who are calling the shots. They're the ones who are withdrawing.

He kept going off tangent, jumping around issues that he felt comfortable with. He mentioned Loretta Lynch by name three times.

We almost need a playbook to make these conversations productive and worthwhile.

He didn't even know about the pending arrest due this week.

He did know about the dossier. Tried to say it was paid for by Democrats. I mentioned that it was started by a Republican who was looking into opposition research against Trump in the primaries. He acknowledged it, but he claimed they were looking into uranium sale connected to Hillary Clinton.

I told him that the point is that information is available and it is now being vetted by the authorities. I made the mistake of mentioning the FBI, and he said, "Well, you can't trust the FBI. Look at what happened between Loretta Lynch and Comey."

where Donald admits of sexual assault. The RW callers were calling that story a lie.

So it seems that their news sources skipped that election chapter.

IMO, everyone in America should make sure all their family members & friends get acquainted with the video. Maybe nice Thanksgiving night viewing by the fireplace.

Since we're all going to die anyway, why go to the doctor? Why go to the emergency room?

and ask why they wouldn't want the people they share the public space with, to be as healthy as possible. Sadly, many of them don't get this argument. They don't see how denying health care to others could possibly impact them, personally.

He had researched it for himself and knew where he wanted to go, before he got sick and needed it.
