(13,081 posts)This isnt just working as a political advisor for a corrupt Ukrainian and having to retroactively register the business transactions (which is shady but not illegal).
At best this is tax dodging and st worst money laundering for the Russian mob.
From a purely strategic point, though, if Tony P had done something illegal (e.g., lie to investigators), it would be a good move to indict him first. It would totally, completely, and forever shut down the GOP counternarrative of Mueller is biased because of uranium!
Plus, were Democrats and therefore probably not hypocrites. A crook is a crook. I dont know if T Podesta is or not, but if he is and gets caught, I wont shed any tears.

(3,613 posts)Money laundering is one of those things that everybody knows about. Mostly we just accept that rich assholes are going to be rich assholes. Kind of like how everyone knew about Weinstein. Monday could connect all the dots in a Weinstein like moment for money launderers,
