Why do so many Americans not have a problem with this?

[IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]
Why is it acceptable in this country for wealth to continue being concentrated in the hands of a shrinking minority, but it's not okay to strive for more equal income between everyone?

I wish it was a conspiracy, then we could just remove the cabal running things, instead of removing the system.

It is the way YOU believe, and therefore see the system, as working. You take the most extreme examples, apply them to the whole in a very generalized sense, in order to "justify" why what YOU believe is how things "really" are.

The funny thing is that you feel "controlled," wrongly "jailed," "judged," "exploited," "condemned" and "ruled" ONLY because it is not your personal beliefs that are determining all of those things.

Can we improve? Always.
Should we "remove the system" so that the few people who agree with can rule and control the people how YOU think is best? No. Never.

I really do believe this. The programming begins the day we're born.

By the time we're old enough to think for ourselves, rebelling and being repelled by unregulated/under regulated capitalism unacceptable behavior.

By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so ****ing crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty-odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still ****ing peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be

There's room at the top they're telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill

A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero well just follow me

Jul 2012

* Intellectual Curiosity has been bred out of Americans,
and Outsude-the-Box-Thinking has been demonized in our schools,
and in our society

*The History of the Class Struggle and the Labor Movement
has been eliminated from our History Books

*The BIG LIE works

"All propaganda must be presented in a popular form and must fix its intellectual level so as not to be above the heads of the least intellectual of those to whom it is directed. Thus its purely intellectual level will have to be that of the lowest mental common denominator among the public it is desired to reach. When there is question of bringing a whole nation within the circle of its influence, as happens in the case of war propaganda, then too much attention cannot be paid to the necessity of avoiding a high level, which presupposes a relatively high degree of intelligence among the public. "

<snip>

"But the most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly and with unflagging attention. It must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over. Here, as so often in this world, persistence is the first and most important requirement for success."
---volume 1, chapter 6 of Mein Kampf (1925)

*"You can't tax the Job Creators!"

*"America is the greatest nation in the World."

*"Anyone can get rich in America if they work hard enough!"

(Feel free to add your own Big LIE).

*Most of America is stuck at the Cognitive and Emotional Development of Middle Childhood,
where Authority Figures are gods,
"Father" is infallible and requires unquestioned loyalty,
abstraction is difficult/impossible,
External Validation is necessary,
the World is divided into US vs Them,
binary choice thinking (Black vs White) and immediate gratification dominate.

*"WINNING" an external and arbitrary goal as defined by "the gods" ***AT ANY COST*** has become the Raison D'Entre.
When is the last time you heard anyone say:
"Its not whether you win or lose,
its HOW you play the game"?

THAT has been replaced in our American culture with:
"Second Place is the first LOSER!"

*Courage to Do-the-Right-Thing and Living-by-Principles are DEAD.
FEAR rules.
(This is actually a characteristic of Middle Childhood Development, but worth repeating.
("If you don't do THIS, the boogieman gets you!")

Aside from THAT ^,
I got nothin.

You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their excuses.
