(55,445 posts)are supposed to be the Mt. Rushmore of liberal investigative reporting for the last decade, and they're *STILL* choosing to ignore/distort/minimize the single BIGGEST political scandal of our lives.... All because of the bullshit of advocacy journalism...
I'd said all the way back when Snowden was still fresh and credible, and Glenn's ego was temporarily matched by his star power that his binary brand of advocacy journalism was going to come back to ruin him. Why? Because I've worked in journalism before, and I know the more married you are to an ideological cause, the less likely you are to report any facts that would reflect negatively on that cause... And sooner or later you get painted into a corner and your only response is either contradicting yourself, or engaging in whataboutism..
But no, Glenn had to pretend to be a goddamned Jesus who singlehandedly invented the world of investigative journalism, and way too many people lapped it up without question and gave him a shitload of awards in the process... (See Julian Assange for another textbook God Complex mentality) remember when he proudly proclaimed that objectivity should be dead in all journalism with a straight face? You know what happens when you do that? You get shit like Breitbart and DaillyCaller and NewsMax and the Intercept...
Glenn's shilling is one thing, but today's panic attack indicates to me that he's scared as FUCK that his own connections to Moscow will get exposed...
