I think there is enough evidence today to suggest that Meuller has played his lead in a way to show the rest of the table how strong his hand is.

(4,516 posts)My friends and I loved the game. I never knew anyone outside of Ohio who played it.
We even played strip Euchre. It was the guys against the girls.

Only if you have the right bower.
Or an ace. Lead those early to increase your chances everyone else will have to follow suit.

(675 posts)Where you call "bullshit" if someone claims to have cards that they don't. I think that is what trump and Mueller are playing and trump just claimed he has 7 aces

(13,421 posts)Unless you know for a fact your partner has a right or left bower (you ordered it up, for example) lead a big trump first. If you don't know where the big ones are (at least ONE, anyway!) you probably had no business calling trump in the first place. Control your trump cards and you are probably going to take enough tricks between your own and your partner's aces and kings...
My entire family played Euchre when I was a kid, and it was a big deal when you were "good" enough to play at the adult table. I'm 57 now, and I still play given an opportunity. This is in East Central Illinois, in case anybody is curious.
Yes, I agree. I think Mueller is laying his cards down with precision. I also think this is masterful in its emotional manipulation of all the people in and around the investigation. Keep up the worry, keep on applying the pressure with subtle questions about who is wearing a wire and who has been "turned." Fear is a tremendous motivator.

I've lived in Baltimore and in Florida. Neither place had heard of the game unless it was someone from around here.
