Wisconsin..in our last Gov race, the DEM chair DENIED us a primary

Over here in Wisconsin our last Gov race, the DEM chair DENIED us a primary. He presented a rich lady who knew NOTHING as our candidate. Period. We had no say. And once again, fuckhead Walker won.

So, yeah, things happen. I helped oust Mike Tate, our hideous Chairman.

I'm from Wisconsin (living in Iowa now) and I am horrified at what my home state has turned into. Iowa sucks too, but Wisconsin used to be so much better.

rather quickly to two or three.

Here in New Mexico in 2014, five candidates were in the Democratic primary. As a result a not very good candidate with name recognition won the primary and mounted a completely ineffectual campaign against the incumbent Republican Governor, Susana Martinez. Needless to say she won big her second time around.

Right now in this state our first Congressional district is up for grabs because the Democratic incumbent is running for Governor next year, along with about four other Democrats so far. And at last count 8 Dems have declared for that seat.

So many candidates, so few votes.

What Democrats do a shitty job of is grooming people to run for office and move up the electoral ladder. Republicans are much better at it, as we've noticed. Or mostly not noticed, because I see constant, ongoing defense of very old candidates remaining in office and running for re-election without any thought that eventually the old office older will die and there will be absolutely no one positioned to take over and run for that office.

all we need is to put big money out of the business of rigging our elections.

It immediately makes me want to hate any candidate it's associated with.
