Just came from the Prairie Home Companion performance here in Honolulu and it was pretty great!

Especially wonderful that they gave our local performers a chance to be heard across the country. Ledward Ka'apana, Jeff Peterson, Danny Carvalho, and Jake Shimabukuro r o c k e d the house. Good fun!!

Mahalo. I'd reccommend going to see it any time they are nearby. It's a trip! mahina Jan 2012 #4

While I was putting some finishing touches on our New Year's dinner. Very nice! You were lucky to be there. I love Garrison and I love the show.

Happy New Year to Hawaii! (Now I'm going to bed, even though there are dishes still to be done.)

those dishes aren't going anywhere, will sure be there in the morning. That's my theory, so far no evidence refutes. Aloha!

I love Garrison Keiller and the cast.

Often, mr. sueh and I will listen to the re-play from the PHC on late Sunday afternoon. Great way to begin the weekend wind-down.

People can get up on stage and dance during the whole show, behind the bands. I've heard him refer to 'the dancers' before but I didn't understand till I saw it. Imagine if you are at a performance in a concert hall and you can just hop on up and start shaking it!

What a gas.

I would like to have a word with whoever told Garrison that he could sing. And listening to him sing (or try) in Hawaiian, especially the Queen's prayer- um, it was brutal, truly painful.

Tip to Garrison, brother, do yourself and all of us a favor and stick to English!
