I'm becoming numb

My reaction today to the news in Texas was "Well of course we have another shooting massacre. Why not." Seriously. One can only get so worked up so often until one becomes numb. I don't want to think about people losing husbands/wives/parents/siblings/kids to mass shootings. I wanted to just have a relaxing Sunday before work this week. Nobody in our Gov will do anything about this. I'm completely helpless to help this situation. WTF?

I'm seriously thinking about avoiding crowded places.

Black guys, brown guys, Muslims get profiled and the ones who should get profiled just drive up to a church and kill 20, or somehow carry 23 guns into a public hotel and kill 49 but nothing to see here. Move along folks.
