Deplorables gather in a comments section in this Yahoo article that fluffs trump re the market

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trumps-post-election-stock-market-rally-4th-best-since-1936-160907864.html

Since President Donald Trump was elected in November 2016, the stock market has been on a tear.

Over the weekend, Trump — who has repeatedly boasted about the stock market’s run during his time in office — said in Japan that “the reason [the U.S.] stock market has been so successful is because of me,” according to ABC’s Jonathan Karl.

And while the more than 20% rally we’ve seen in the S&P 500 and the 30% rise in the Dow have sent markets to record highs, the market’s post-election performance isn’t the best among modern presidents.

According to data from Goldman Sachs, Trump’s post-election stock market jump is the fourth-largest since 1936. Trump trails Presidents George H.W. Bush, John F. Kennedy, and Bill Clinton in terms of stock market performance following election day.

snip - interesting article (somewhat - read it and see what you think - I find it protrump-cringeworthy myself)

The real thing to check are the comments....huge preponderance of trump adoration. kind of a deplorables website flash mob.

that has done very well...but in my mind, it is what Obama set in motion. I can't bring myself - ever - to give the orange asshole credit for anything positive.

Years ago I gave up reading those comments for my mental health. Plus a guy harassed me once and said he wanted to put an AK gun up my butt. Insane people writing insane comments.

take credit, but is it due to him? I'm sure they are happy in the thought of fewer regulations, but is that enough?

understands how the stock market even works, let alone his deplorables. When it crashes, he will blame Obama. Back then he called it a bubble, now he wants it to be his accomplishment. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/06/16/full-text-donald-trump-announces-a-presidential-bid/?utm_term=.0d5d53fe6229 TRUMP: Reduce our $18 trillion in debt, because, believe me, we're in a bubble. We have artificially low interest rates. We have a stock market that, frankly, has been good to me, but I still hate to see what's happening. We have a stock market that is so bloated.

Be careful of a bubble because what you've seen in the past might be small potatoes compared to what happens. So be very, very careful.

And strengthen our military and take care of our vets. So, so important.
