Attorney: Alleged Rand Paul assault had nothing to do with politics

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 11/06/17 03:10 PM EST

The attorney for the man accused of assaulting Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), breaking five of his ribs, on Monday the incident had nothing to do with politics, Fox News reports.

“The unfortunate occurrence of November 3rd has absolutely nothing to do with either’s politics or political agendas. It was a very regrettable dispute between two neighbors over a matter that most people would regard as trivial,” said Matthew Baker, who is representing Rene Boucher.

“We sincerely hope that Senator Paul is doing well and that these two gentlemen can get back to being neighbors as quickly as possible.”

Boucher and Paul have been neighbors for 17 years and worked together when they were both practicing physicians, Baker said Monday.

I was at his house just last Friday night after a football game between the high school my granddaughter attends and the one his granddaughter attends. Hell, problems between neighbors isn't anything new, and neither are neighbor problems that boil over into violence. Next time ya call BS, don't step in it first.

Damn fella, I was at my friends house, that two doors down from Paul, just this past Friday evening. We went to a high school football playoff game together where my granddaughter cheered for one team and his granddaughter cheered for the other. Ya really need to stop falling for everything you read on the internet. Neighbor spat and nothing more.

I have a neighbor who thinks she's better than everyone.
The ultimate was her dog in my yard.
I was driven to fantasizing violence, although I never acted on it.

We also have oak wilt in the neighborhood. If our live oaks die, I told her I would replace it with another pecan. She got really mad.

We currently share live oak canopies.

I had a neighbor who allowed her big aggressive dog to do this to me for years.
She would let her dog loose and he would sniff until he found his spot in our yard.

I talked to her about it numerous times.
I called Animal Control to no avail.

I would sprinkle cayenne pepper, but I had do to it every day. It was very expensive.

I'm not an aggressive person, so she got away with it.

But, boy I sure fantasized and fantasized about ways of dealing with it.

I was so relieved when that dog died.

Still, the problem was: Even after shoveling it over, the stuff left traces and we couldn't get rid of the smell in on those spots. (The dog would go on the narrow side yard where we were went from the front and backyard)
So, dog would come and poop again.
Plus the smell would get on my shoes if I stepped in a previous spot. Even if I couldn't smell it my chihuahua could.
We kept our chihuahua indoors and she was never completely housebroken. Dragging that smell in the house just reinforced that our carpet was a pooping zone.

We ended up putting pavers just so we wouldn't step on the grass.

Oh and I've got peripheral neuropathy and wear New Balance EE shoes. They cost about $170.
Getting dog crap out of those grooves on the bottom is a major chore. I constantly complained to my neighbor.

Of course she didn't listen.

I secretly plotted revenge.

Best fucking fight I ever had was with Garrett Hardin. I cherish those scars. It wasn't about lawn mowing in a gated community.

Rand Paul is a moron. His attacker the same.
