Kellyanne Conway Says Debating Gun Control Now Disrespects The DeadTed Cruz echoes her message: We dont need politics right now. ... Evil is evil.
By Mary Papenfuss 11/06/2017 07:51 pm ET
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway blasted renewed criticism about politicians failure to enact stricter gun controls in the wake of the Texas church shooting, saying its disrespectful to the dead.
Conway was responding to a question on Fox News Fox & Friends on Monday about tweets by comedian and TV personality Chelsea Handler in the wake of the Sunday shooting at a Sutherland Springs Baptist church that killed 26 people, half of them children.
Innocent people go to church on Sunday to honor their God and ... get shot [and] killed, Handler tweeted. What country? America. Why? Republicans. She also complained that the government watches these mass shootings and does nothing.
In a dig at Handler and apparently others clamoring for increased gun controls, Conway said that the rush to judgment, particularly by people who just see politics and Trump derangement in every single thing they do, it doesnt help the victims, and its disrespectful to the dead.

(615 posts)Every single time they repeat this we need to cast them as having blood on their hands... Not just the blood of the recently murdered, but the blood of the past and the blood of the future.
That is our talking point. The fact that spousal abusers can go out and legally buy guns and that they can legally keep the guns they have is directly putting our public at risk. They need to be held accountable for inaction on this.

(31,532 posts)Maybe they should check with the electorate about their feelings on gun control. It appears that people in both parties are tired of the killing and bloodshed.
