How bad was it for the Republicans?

Long day and stopped in a truck stop to get the results and something to eat.

They had Fox on and Laura Ingraham was interviewing Mark Furhman.

Yes that Mark Furhman.

I was not aware Mark was running for office, lol.

They'll say that we can't draw any broad conclusions about Trump or the GOP congress based on this election. The Republican loser candidates will be portrayed as weak, thereby diminishing the Democrats' victories. Watch for at least one GOP pundit to declare "honestly, so-and-so ran such a terrible campaign that I'd have been surprised if the Democrat didn't win."

They will seek to trivialize the night, but don't believe their bullshit. This is major, and it's a much-needed sign that Democrats can finally start to reclaim the ground they've lost to Republicans.

6. Honestly, if they convince themselves and their supporters of this it's probably good for us.

If they convince themselves that people aren't made as hell about Trump and going to vote every GOP toady they can, and double down even harder on wingnuts in the primaries and virulent racism and hate in the general elections, it will probably intensify the election wave in 2018.
