I'm having this bizarre new feeling today. I think they call it "optimism".

So much goodness in an off-year election. The governor victories, particularly crushing expectations in VA and sending Gillespie's racist campaign a pounding defeat.

What's more, every "wing" of the party has something to celebrate. Personally I'm thrilled about every one of the wins, I can't be bothered to care about or even think about whether every D elected agrees with me 100% on every little issue.

Yes, optimism! Let's move forward, keep winning. And please, let the Brazile thing be the very end of the 2016 primary finger-pointing. Seriously, in light of yesterday's results, how pointless is it to argue on end about the exact wording of some 2015 fundraising agreement?

Let's go DEMOCRATS!

Hope

is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

That's what we got last night. Let us savor and cherish it.
