side note: I've always considered myself a dem because R's violate my first rule of being human, that is assigning certain groups to non person status via racism, sexism and all the other -ism's. All the other stuff can be debated, but not the first rule of being human

(41,980 posts)In Forksmy oldest daughter lives by there there was this huge Loggers for Trump sign. On the other hand, I still have pictures from a tiny protest against Trump in Forks. Brave people

(36,464 posts)& they say this life is more valuable than that life. They don't see that they just invalidated their pro-life argument. They are pro-the-life-that-I-value, not pro-life. And they are beyond seeing their hypocrisy.

(20,577 posts)our small community on the Olympic Peninsula has a brand new facility including jail to go with the 50 some border patrol. They wanted a new building but they had to have 50 agents to get approval - so they doubled the number of agents to 50.
They watch agricultural fields with binoculars, sit in front of the store that sells Hispanic foods, patrol neighborhoods etc. They are also bored to tears but are encouraged to work overtime (according to an agent's Congressional testimony).
The American dream lives through first generation immigrants.
