(28,795 posts)9. Heh. Check this, from an excellent story in wapo
In 1976, WHFS played another demo tape, "You Broke My Mood Ring," and when deejay Josh Brooks visited a friend in California, he gave him a copy of the tape. Pal Donald Fagen of Steely Dan was impressed enough to pass it on to his producer, Gary Katz, who somehow wangled a quarter-million-dollar deal with Warner Bros. When the album failed, the label bought out the remainder of the contract for $40,000.

Ted Nugent's real-life underage affair may have inspired this charming little ditty from the Motor City Madmans second live album. Nugent first widens the age gap (Well, I dont care if youre just 13) and then hits on her mama (Shes got a craving for the underage). As hes about to get arrested for his dalliances, Nugent pleads with the officer, Dont put those handcuffs on me / Put them on her, and Ill share her with you.

I'm a little more partial to it over The Lovin' Spoonful's version.

She's got me dizzy, she sees me through to the end
She's got me in her hands and there's no use in pretending
Christine sixteen, Christine sixteen
She drives me crazy, I want to give her all I've got
And she's hot every day and night, there is no doubt about it
Christine sixteen, Christine sixteen
I don't usually say things like this to girls your age
But when I saw you coming out of the school that day
That day I knew, I knew (Christine sixteen)
I've got to have you, I've got to have you
She's' been around, but she's young and clean
I've got to have her, can't live without her, whoa no
Christine sixteen, Christine sixteen

(4,835 posts)16. But for sure, Moore is Conway Twitty guy - Never Been This Far Before
I can almost hear the stillness
As it yields to the sound of your heart beating
I can almost hear the echo
Of the thoughts that I know you must be thinking
And I can feel your body tremble
As you wonder what this moment holds in store
And as I put my arms around you
I can tell you've never been this far before
I don't know what I'm saying
As my trembling fingers touch forbidden places
I only know that I've waited
For so long for the chance that we are taking
Well I don't know and I don't care
What made you tell him you don't love him anymore
And as I taste your tender kisses
I can tell you've never been this far before
And as I take the love you're giving
I can feel the tension building in your mind
And you're wondering if tomorrow
I'll still love you like I'm loving you tonight
You have no way of knowing
Tonight will only make me love you more
And I hope that you'll believe me
'Cause I know you've never been this far before
