David Frum just now nailed Roy Moore: "He was awfully good at it. He saw a young person in distress

... He separated her from her mother. And then..." and "How many others are there out there, too damaged to report him?"

Frum is a Mensch.

and in truth I'm pretty sure he wasn't as polished or seasoned back then -- IOW, he's grown over the years. Now I look forward to his comments when he's on MSNBC and his tweets, and both admire and respect him, his insights, and dare I say it, his wisdom.

And I ADORE Steve Schmidt.

Didn't Frum do some pretty gross stuff in support of W??

Schmidt's disgust at support of Moore was sincere and very intense.

to sacrifice all his conservative moral views just to support the current crop of GOP politicians.

We can disagree with him strongly on most political issues while agreeing with him that people like Trump and Moore are scum.

This is the idiot that wrote perhaps the worst foreign policy speech in the last 50 years. I am talking the "Axis of Evil" speech.

How did he get to be so skilled at it? Or maybe he was born a charismatic, manipulative sociopath? It's just disgusting.

This isn't some passing fancy -- and Moore has a history of trolling the malls and high school sports games (if I remember correctly) to find girls whose mothers he could ask to date.

He ALSO has a history, while on the AL supreme court, of going very easy on sexual predators -- there was at least one more article but I didn't bookmark it.

with the likely scenario of how Moore chose the 14 year old. What a despicable rat Moore is to take advantage of her in a time when she likely felt vulnerable and upset. But then that is how guys like him work. He even tried to appear helpful and empathetic to her mother so her guard would be down. When all the truth about this comes out, Moore won’t be able to show his face. That is if there is any justice in this world. Too late for prosecution, but at least maybe now the truth will come out and he can quit hiding behind his religion. His name will be Mudd!

But that how's these sociopaths get away with this behavior. They have a veneer projecting a stellar moral character and often are seen as great with children. All the while they are assessing which kids will be vulnerable and/or open to their advances. Usually no one suspects a thing and wouldn't believe it even if they did.
