They started the season off so strong, and they're going out with a whimper.

They really hammered Moore, and threw in quite a bit of Louis CK and even some George Takei.

There's not enough satire, too much dumbed-down comedy, and the writing stinks. The skits run way too long, where even a funny skit becomes unfunny.

I like Baldwin's Trump when he is on, but the rest of the show is awful. They seem to have a good skit every now and again, but I just watch those after the fact on YouTube.

Most of the skits after the first one make no sense at all. Lorne Michaels musr have lost interest decades ago.

I fell asleep right after the intro sketch.

And before anyone jumps in here to remind me how glorious the Belushi/Radner/Chase/etc/etc days were, I will direct you to where the old episodes reside on Netflix. Outside of their contemporary context, when humor about sex and drugs was "cool" and "edgy", they are often NOT as great as you remember, and they are frequently just fucking awful.
