Trump, breaking with precedent, will not meet with American Nobel recipients

WASHINGTON — President Trump, breaking a tradition that stretches back nearly two decades, will not personally greet the eight American Nobel laureates this year before they travel to Sweden in December to receive their prizes.

Not all the honorees are disappointed.

Two American Nobel Prize winners, when contacted by STAT, indicated they would not have attended a White House event even if invited. Columbia biophysicist Joachim Frank, awarded a Nobel in chemistry for his work in microscopy, said in an email he was “very relieved” when he learned there was no chance of an encounter with the president.

“I will not put my foot into the White House as long as Trump, Pence, or Ryan (i.e., the possible succession of impeachments) will occupy it,” Frank said. “I cannot speak for the others; don’t know them personally yet, but I strongly believe that as thinking intelligent people they will have a similar attitude as I.”

if you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your bullshit. That may work on Trump's base, but certainly not on Nobel laureates. Actually, that won't work on anyone with an IQ bigger than the average age of a girl Roy Moore "dates".

Trump didn't want to be turned down, so he just didn't invite them.
Does this really matter? He won't be there much longer anyway.

I've noticed that the media (especially online) finds the MOST ugly shots of The Asshole that they possibly can.

This photo is an great example. Some intern must have spent a whole minute or two looking for the "ugly shot".

(Or maybe it only took 10 seconds).

A large part of his appeal is his anti-intellectualism. I don't understand that myself; it's like pretending being a good demolition derby driver means you are a safe driver.

Who's down for breaking some beakers?

BTW: Do you know why Dotard is so upset with Joachim Frank, the Nobel winner for his work in microscopy? Because Frank finally invented a microscope powerful enough to let people see Dotard's brain. "I may only have one neuron, but it's the bigliest neuron ever!"

...honors students; a generic sort of thing that must go to all kinds of honors students around the country.

It was signed by Donald Trump.

We were all laughing a bit to receive a high honors award from the most stupid and ignorant president, if not ever, at least since Franklin Pierce...nah...even Pierce wasn't that stupid.

It's sad. It would have been a treasure if signed by the Wesleyan valedictorian, President Hillary Clinton. Now it's just a joke.

Why would some of the most intelligent Americans on the planet have any interest in being in the presence of an exceedingly stupid person, a corrupt racist pig with the mind and mentality of a five year old? I would be very surprised if the others didn't agree with Joachim Frank.
