As the New York Times Adam Goldman noted, this lawyer tried to do the same for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
Earlier in the day, legal reporters had expressed confusion after discovering that someone had filed a motion to dismiss the indictment against Papadopoulos.

(42,779 posts)Supposedly there is a lawyer who filed a motion to dismiss the indictment against Papadapolous and was tossed. The name of the lawyer isn't disclosed anywhere but supposedly its known that he has claimed Mueller tried to have him killed. And the motion itself is not public.
Many things don't add up here(including the fact that Papadoulous wasn't the subject of an indictment. Rather he was the subject of an "information" and a plea agreement. Not sure how one gets a plea agreement dismissed via a motion.

Is the claim that Mueller tried to murder Papadopoulos - or the interloping attorney?
Either way, the attorney should face Rule 11 sanctions (the court's method of spanking naughty attorneys) and likely also an ethics complaint.
