Conspiracy theorists gathered together in North Carolina on November 9 and 10 for the very first 2017 Flat Earth International Conference designed to “reveal NASA space lies,” and to meet other like-minded souls who share the belief that the world is actually flat. Flat-Earthers dished out $249 per ticket to attend the conference and it is estimated that 400 people from various parts of the globe attended the event.

Willful ignorance - they have to be a special sort of stupid to pay money to listen to this tripe...

I would have happily forked over $249 Dollars to go to this, I mean seriously, for entertainment value alone but it would have been incredibly insightful to the crazed mind.

My session will be on the Moon being made of cheese.

I posit that it is not at all swiss cheese, but in fact gruyere. I will be joined by both Wallace AND Grommit, Fellows at the Claymation Characters are Real People Institute. Wallace has for years insisted the moon has a tasty camembert surface. We’ll debate that subject in the second half of the presentation. Should be quite riveting. We hope you’ll join us.
