Franken have (at least at this point) allegations from one person (Franken's case) and people were screaming for his resignation. With Tambor leaving, an entire groundbreaking show on a very important topic, which employs many people, will collapse. I don't like this frenzy atmosphere right now. I wasn't alive during the McCarthy era but we were all supposed to have learned lessons from that frenzy in that we MUST have some form of evidence before destroying a person's life as that is a very potent way to destroy political enemies.

A lot of people are speculating about the motive in Franken's case since the woman involved engaged in these very raunchy, very bawdy skits for years -- she herself grabbed the asses of men on and off the stage and humped the men on stage and humped soldiers she brought up on stage -- all part of the skits. Yet this comes out right now during the Roy Moore crisis (which is a very serious and very different case) and the republicans bring up Bill Clinton ffs while ignoring Trump's actions?!

Of course I also can't figure out why in the hell as usual this goes on yet still nobody in our media is really talking about Trump's history. They are screaming for Franken to resign over that ridiculous skit yet Trump's multiple groping incidents, with women who went on the record, don't seem to matter.

Hollywood and DC both must be paranoia central right now. People will be terrified of associating with one another.

I am glad it’s coming to light but it’s sad.

I adore Jeffrey Tambor and this is very sad to me. But, these issues are damned serious and have been ignored for waaay too long.

And we will start seeing these people returning to shows. There are much worse people in Hollywood that have continue to get work over the years even through all their issues.

Right now the people being called out are people who are economically elite. But sexual harassment is a problem up and down the economic scale. Do we start firing anybody who has committed any sexual harassment and driving them from society? The guy from accounting, or the truck driver don't have the financial resources to be made a social pariah.

But doing nothing doesn't provide a consequence for bad behavior and so maybe doesn't provide enough incentive for guys to change.
