I am going to say this...

I hate that these sexual assault incidents and allegations are being politicized. It is taking away from the real problem, that girls, women, even men, and boys are not safe. There is an epidemic of predatory sexual assault and the victims are made to feel like the villains. They are not being taken seriously.

I knew it would be because I know how far we haven’t evolved. Mostly I’m staying out if it here, but I appreciate your thread. You are right.

I always feared a backlash when the #Metoo movement arose out of the Weinstein scandal, and knew it would take many forms. This is just one of them. Our politics have become extremely polarized, which just aggravates it further.

I think a good portion of men would like to keep their jobs, and for the first time may be considering -not- imposing their sickness on the nearest vulnerable being. Predators are losing their livelihoods across all sectors, not just in politics.

This is a behavioral issue, not a political issue. But it will be a political subject as long as we have a confessed predator as POTUS, with an entire party willing to stay mum on his atrocious power abuses.

And I have very complicated feelings about it all.

but I have to tell you that I'm sick and tired of hearing about the pinch on the butt, etc. Not saying it's right, I'm saying it's not equivalent to the predatory child molestation charges such as those directed at creepy Roy Moore. But c'mon ... there is so much going on right now that we're not hearing about. As with weather anomalies, we are hearing and watching 24/7 coverage of the same shit over and over again. Time for a break.

I'm also not seeing media coverage of pictures of Tweeden that challenge her claims that she is an innocent, nor of that other woman who's come out accusing Al Franken. Is the media scared to question any of them for fear of being called enablers?

Because there is an assault on all of us. Every aspect of important issues are minimized and deflected or buried. We are not safe.

We can only continue to speak our truth. Persist as they say.

Contrary to the way it looks, I believe, we remain on the right side of history.
