Let's face it, a politician at the state fair is there for several reasons, but one for sure is to see people and be seen with people. In the course of a day at the fair, Sen. Franken is probably stopped a hundred times to pose for a photo with fair-goers. I will credit Menz's story as true, and if Franken really is a groping sort of guy, there are going to more women coming forward. It doesn't happen just once.

I don't know, prospectively, what my over/under number would be, but considering the sheer number of photos that have been taken of Franken over the years at public events, I'd expect at least five more women to come forward with their own stories. If Menz is the one and only woman who has this story to tell about Sen. Franken, I'm comfortable with saying it was inadvertent. If more women come forward with their own stories and photos, that's different.

anyone can say anything about someone, doesn't mean its true. We have not heard from Franken yet.

You are correct; all we have is Menz's story, but it's backed up a photo of her with Sen. Franken, and the fellow who took the picture confirms that she told him at the time that Franken had grabbed her. It could all be concocted, but the circumstances are definitely against Franken. The statement I saw early this morning was that Franken didn't recall the incident, and that doesn't surprise me - he's stopped for photos all the time, and to remember one particular snapshot opportunity out of thousands just isn't possible short of an eidetic memory.

That being said, in the absence of anyone else coming forward with a similar story, I'll stick with my belief that any groping was inadvertent. When the first accuser of Roy Moore went public, I felt the same way. But now that a half dozen women have come forward with similar stories, and Moore's former co-workers have corroborated some details ("Yeah, we knew Roy liked 'em young&quot , and that Moore wound up marrying the classmate of one of the girls he moved on, I'm persuaded that there is some fire under that smoke.

of $2500. Franken hasn't as yet been officially charged but, if he is tried and convicted , he should pay the $2500. Deal over. Quitting the Senate for this crime would be a grossly unfair outcome for him. If he did touch the ladies butt, he is guilty of having very bad manners.

By the way, why didn't the victim's husband say anything to Al when it happened, if it happened?
