It appears to be honest and apologetic. You decide.
Unfortunately it is in small print. It is his statement on Twitter.

(4,142 posts)I thought the statement was pretty weak actually. Al Franken's was much stronger.

(23,333 posts)for me at this point. Wouldn't it be easier to keep your hands to yourself and your junk tucked away at work? Seriously??? This is stuff we all should have learned in kindergarten. These assholes are only sorry once they are busted. Not impressed.

(23,333 posts)strength to do that. Once I had to shinny down a rain gutter pipe from a second floor apartment to get away from a man that had locked me in his room. He'd gone into the bathroom and I got out the only way to I could. It was a long walk home in the dark but who know what would've happened if I hadn't been able to get out. That was back in 1983.

(24,023 posts)I cannot imagine ANY circumstances under which I would present myself to any of my co-workers naked. EVER!
For a time, I belonged to a health club that was frequented by some of the moms who brought their children to the pediatric office where I work. I always used one the private changing cubicles in the women's locker room. I would have done that regardless, being an intensely private person and having zero exhibitionistic tendencies. There was no way I wanted the mothers of any of my patients seeing me in the buff. It's one thing for me to be examining their partially unclothed kids in the exam room, but the moms seeing me naked in the locker room was NOT going to happen.

(31,261 posts)Most did not have privacy stalls. Guys, including me walked to and from the shower with a towel around their bottom. Everyone minded their business, so there were never issues. People in such situations mind their own business and all of us worked on tight schedules with meetings before and after exercising, so people did not dwell around, so there was no reason for privacy stalls.

(24,023 posts)...who strut around totally starkers after their showers, drying their hair and applying their makeup without a stitch on - no towel, no underwear, nothing. I think it's rather unseemly, and definitely smacks of, "Look as meeeeeeeeeeeee." Save it for home.
I watched one woman park her bare butt on one of the wooden benches without even a towel under her. Disgusting from 2 aspects- she had no idea who might have sat there before her, and the next person would have no way of knowing what she had done. Yuck!(I'm a nurse, so I'm very hygiene and contamination conscious.)
I know men's locker room and public bathrooms offer little in term of privacy. Would most men prefer it if they could have privacy? I'd have to be ready to burst before willingly performing bodily function in front of anyone. I was really glad, years ago, when our sons got old enough not to insist on being in the bathroom with me.

(25,464 posts)When I was young, I could care less, but now I think other women would be disgusted. So I cover with a towel and make a beeline for a private changing area.
