Trump must have done the math and figured a democratic senator from Alabama would

start a wave of red staters experiencing someone who cares about their actual problems in congress and the south would start voting Democratic. What other math do you think the WH did? Because it is total math...no empathy involved here.

apparently they figured out they couldn't do that.

or maybe they figured alabama wouldn't elect a democrat regardless, then the polls came out.
