2. But the question is...

...will Democrats use this? Will they run on this? Will they buy ads that show these Republicans standing with Moore? Will they show them saying literally and explicitly that they are willing to overlook pedophilia because they want his vote on lowering taxes for the rich?

That's where we lose the opportunity to at least bring a positive out of so much of the Republican's stupidity and evil. The people in charge of such things refuse to use this stuff. At worst they worry more about whether someone at the Washington Post editorial page will need their fainting couch because of incivility, and at best they are just naive and believe that people will know about this stuff and make these connections. They won't.

We can't just assume voters will know this stuff. We can't just assume they will connect the dots and draw the clear lines that need to be drawn on this stuff.

4. This is the sole issue for most people. The entire world could burn in nuclear hellfire.

People could be starving in the street. People dropping dead from contagious illness. Homelessness rampant. Big Brother taking over.

And if there was a candidate who could reverse all that but was pro abortion, people would not vote for that candidate no matter what.

It has been 40 years since roe v. Wade and there is a large segment of the population who still view abortion as illegal and as murder.
