Hmm, he has had children with someone he calls "Mother." I suspect that this means he has no thoughts about pedophilia. Excuse me, I have a call from Oedipus I need to take.

Perhaps there are two reasons.

1) 45 doesn't like anybody else to get the media coverage.
2) He is hoping not to be tainted by the golden throne tweeter.

he's very busy holding dinners and salons up at the Naval Observatory that include the top Republicans and deep pocket donors. He's a very busy bee, laying the groundwork for his own Presidency.

Personally, I think he goes down with the ship. He is hip deep, at least, in the Russia scandal. He seems to think that if he keeps enough distance and builds his own support network within the party, he can survive.

He damn well better.

As far as support from the party and donors, he is a realist. He "knows" the big money (and Russians) are more important to his power than the Voters. He thinks by keeping a low public profile and smooching the big donors and republican powers that be, he is maximizing his chance of surviving for 2020. I think he is in for multiple rude awakenings.
