Racist language from Trump this morning surpasses anything I've read from any president

...he's dragged our nation into a filthy gutter. I'm honestly taken aback by the blatantness and ease in which he slurs this private citizen, this black man.

‘Poor man’s version of Don King’: Trump continues his war of words with LaVar Ball

President Trump began the day before Thanksgiving on Twitter, calling out those who he claims have not, in fact, given him their proper thanks.

His target, again: LaVar Ball, who Trump had previously called “very ungrateful” for the president’s help in resolving a shoplifting charge in China for his son, LiAngelo, and two other University of California at Los Angeles basketball players.

It had been nearly two full days since Trump last mentioned the elder Ball by name — and in the intervening hours, Ball had been on CNN, saying that he had nothing to be thankful for when it came to his son and his president.

“How’d he help? If he helped, I would say thank you,” Ball told CNN.

Trump wasn’t having it, calling Ball an “ungrateful fool” and “a poor man’s version of Don King,” the boxing promoter known for his spotlight-grabbing style...

Sexual assault and sexual harassment. But not such a big deal when Dolt 45 and Roy Moore are accused of it by multiple women, apparently.

Oh, and how about collaborating with the Russians, not a "little thing" either.

Trump and Trump followers are as Hillary Clinton pointed out deplorables. Since the blowhard idiot has taken charge the racist scum have boldly came out of the shadows. Where are the people who like me grew up in the late 60's and early 70's? It is time to take to the streets in masses and voice our displeasure in the fact a psycho stole the presidency with the help of lowlife haters who hang on his every lie. The religious right sit in their pews and say nothing about the most ungodly man to ever walk the earth. Like it or not most of the religious white people weren't comfortable with a black president. (I am a 64 year old white man by the way) For eight years many white americans looked for any reason to criticize President Obama who worked his way with intelligence and determination to make himself better and eventually the country. He tried to unite all people and all races while the likes of McConnell and company obstructed and lied about him to please their wealthy campaign contributors. This is the tip of the iceberg of the things that have been wrong in this country for the last 100 years and why I salute those who kneel for the anthem. They see wrong and have the courage to shine a bright light on it.

stop him, expose him.

I would love to hear suggestions, what are they NOT doing they can do?

I ask this sincerely because if I am missing something or they are, we need to know, and also maybe as an exercise to show just how little power you have when you let a party of criminals take over all branches of government.

trump, you could have spent the next 25 to 50 years during Thanksgiving with your son Don Jr. and Eric, Jared, Ivanka, Sessions, Tillerson, Flynn, (the beat goes on, and on) in Gitmo, but no NRA, GOP to support you. But remember trump, grifting is NOT a little thing. It’s a really big deal, especially in America. Ungrateful fool!

Plus: you'll be in good company since you'll also be going to Gitmo. You traitorous bunch of numbnutz!

...in this instance, he's deliberately conflated Ball with another black man, with no actual similarity other than their race.

I've been the target of this kind of association insult, presented as a joke, ostensibly meant as a slur. I can assure you, Trump is openly speaking the racist language of a pervasive class of bigots in our country today, for whatever reason. They recognize it, even if you do not.

It is november, 22nd... JFK, Dallas 1963 ? President of the USA killed ? Does that ring a bell ?

It is Thanksgiving time, the time of being thankful and forgiving.

I have never imagined it was humanly possible to go down so low, to be such immoral, such profoundly amoral !

...is eager to embrace any self-loathing black individual, like King, as a wedge and an apologist figure for his own bigotry.

That's quite different from respecting King, or truly associating himself with him outside of his own self-aggrandizement. In this instance, he's using him against Ball in the true (negative) image he knows well King embodies.
