...would make for a great “person of the year.” It has been very powerful to watch a lot of the very powerful get brought down in seconds. The rotting pumpkin in the whitehouse hopefully gets brought down next.

It merely suggests the person has been the most notable for the past year.

Thus, in 1938, Adolf Hitler was Man of the Year. By that time there should not have been much doubt about how evil he could be.

And then, in a sort of spiritual line with '38, in 2016 Donald Trump was named Person of the Year.

And we are now experiencing how evil Trump can be.
