This fight between Mulvaney and English over who will now either run it or destroy it is drawing attention to the CFPB, and the CFPB is Warren's baby. She was originally nominated to run the CFPB, but Republicans blocked her appointment. So, she turned around and ran for Senate instead. I guess THAT one backfired on them.

...excusing him as a 'dumbass' isn't going to make this any less offensive or Trump any less responsible for the staging of the event with the portrait.

I'm convinced Trump is not only a deliberate and determined racist, he's now of the mind that open displays like this one are acceptable behavior. 'Dumbass' is not inoculation from accountability for this outrageous display.
