Eric Trump on Tuesday appeared to compare President Trump's comments calling Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) "Pocahontas" to Disney profiting off of a movie of the same name.
"The irony of an ABC reporter (whose parent company Disney has profited nearly half a billion dollars on the movie 'Pocahontas') inferring that the name is 'offensive' is truly staggering to me," Eric Trump tweeted Tuesday.

His comments come after Trump called Warren "Pocahontas" during an event honoring Native American code talkers.

Eric Trump is a walking poster child as to why we need an inheritance tax.

(13,390 posts)I hate to admit it, but he is correct. Disney is one of several story sellers who have made millions off of a mythological account of a woman who was exploited, married and had children as a teenager, then died when she was 22 yrs old - in England.
Romanticizing her story as a moment when white colonizers and Native Americans found peace disregards the rest of her tragic story. One that was actually the very common experience of Native American women who were acquired in the name of peace.

(Note: I did look at his tweet and try to honestly discern if he actually meant 'inferring', but I came to the conclusion that he did not. YMMV).
