Congressman Denny Heck (D-WA) gave a clinic in how to handle a host who is attempting to minimize the corruption within the Trump administration. He did not give CNN's Erin Burnett any room to leave her spin unanswered. Every Democrat must learn from this; no shouting required.

(5,943 posts)If she were a GOP spokesperson instead of a journalist, she would have shoutedshoutedshouted over him to drown out his very reasoned and factual answers.
That's my guy. My representative in Congress.
Every Democrat must learn from this; no shouting required.

(51,129 posts)It is rather disconcerting that the media engages in lying to cover for public liars. But hey, no surprise given their lying helps elect them.
We need to call for these voices to be fired for their incompetence.

But she's pretty and that's why she's a "journalist" on our telescreens.

(8,291 posts)for Liberals and Democrats. Ugh. I stopped watching her years ago. She's awful.
The only time I did catch one or two of her segments was during the Houston Hurricane while she was interviewing Honore. He was amazing about the response or lack of there. She had him on a couple of times that week and I was tuned in.

(2,597 posts)She's the most obviously right-leaning news host on CNN in my opinion. Hubs usually has CNN on in the late afternoon when she's on and the first thing I do is go into the LR and grab the remote to switch to MSNBC. I was stunned (and Heck was too as the video showed his bewildered WTF! shake of his head) when she basically said move along folks, there's absolutely nothing to see here then doubled down on the pile of stinking manure by saying flat out that there was "no collusion". Stunning since Flynn pleaded fucking GUILTY - a FELONY go to prison plea - to get a lighter sentence. What the flying FUCK did she think Mueller took from Flynn in return? Prosecutors don't just give those away without obtaining a bigger "get" and the get is always somebody farther up the food chain. Always.

(19,870 posts)had minimally charged him with Lying to the FBI. A person using their critical thinking skills would surmise that there is MUCH MUCH more there. Flynn's legal team wanted the MUCH MUCH more stuff off of the table before they allowed their client to sing like a bird to Team Mueller.
I think Burnett pushed this flawed question for the mere drama/spectacle for ratings. She has been in the news business too long to know that MUCH MUCH more is indded there. GAH

And it is a legit question anyway- you know there are plenty of pundits who are saying exactly that, and others as well including the White House itself. It seems fair and responsible to ask for rebuttal to that.

(3,515 posts)Then someone conspired to accept and disseminate the stolen e-mails.
Someone is presumed to have provided Russian agents with personal political information about American voters. And then the Russian agents contacted those voters via the internet with the goal of influencing those voters. All that took money. Where did the money come from? If it was Russia, then did Trump campaign volunteers and employees know the money was being spent on their campaign? Should they have known? Should they have contacted the Federal Election Commission about illegal foreign involvement in the US election campaign? What duty do candidates have to reveal foreign assistance they receive in their campaign?
The Trump campaign should have reported to authorities the foreign influence in their campaign as soon as they were aware of it.
Here is a letter from the Federal Elections Commission on this very topic:
