not because I care an ounce about Comey but the agents did and nothing has happened. The FBI is more professional anyway, they do not need to do anything to make Trump look foolish.

And I hate when we respond to anything that asshat does on Twitter, total ignore would be much more effective and really make him unhinged.

Obama. Comey was even a part of it. Just think what it would have been like had Obama "tweeted" that stuff about them. We would have a parade of agents on FOX talking about how disrespectful the President is to the Intel community. Even today i have only heard the Democrats attack the disrespect they receive from Trump. Have there been any agents or former agents saying anything about Trump and the Intel community?

I do not watch Fox enough to have seen FBI agents doing this now or when he was President. I suspect that a current agent who spoke against the President would likely be breaking their rules and their agency would deal with it. Only years later do you get reports of the interaction with Secret Service. I am not surprised at all if FOX has EX AGENTS speaking out. I also think it highly unlikely that the ones on FOX are any more a representative sample of ex agents than the FOX hosts are representative of all TV personalities. There is self selection.

Note that this is why it is extremely unusual when you have many career State Department people - most of whom worked under both Democratic and Republican Presidents issuing very strong statements about what Trump is doing. It is true that there was a dissent channel and it was used under Obama and other Presidents, but that was to disagree politely (even if strongly) on an issue.

The CIA
The NSA
The FBI
The DOJ
The (British) GCHQ

When you piss off intelligence gatherers and criminal investigators you are even more stupid than when you pick fights with people who buy their ink by the barrel.

The fbi's history is totally apolitical.

Can you say Hoover? The man who built the fbi built it completely on a political basis with pronounced rightist leanings.

Holder is being disingenuous and ignoring the sabotage of clinton by comey.

Pretty fucked up on holder's part.

I strongly suspect he is (just like President Obama) and I hope we hear more about the stuff he's achieving. Most likely, just like Mr. Mueller - all highly professional.

Tweets don't mean shit in the big picture, but they do keep tRump's base highly inflamed.

they've done a lot of bad things, but Trump is once again pandering to his rabid base in attacking the FBI and the DoJ. I lurk in militia / Patriot threads, and they HATE the DoJ, probably because they investigate any white people or groups at all.

Frankly I think Trump gets a lot of support from white criminals and people with violent tendencies and they identify with the far right groups that have been investigated in the past.

My cousin, a biker in a southern state (I'm not saying where. These guys are bad, real bad) and his 'sons of anarchy' "brothers" absolutely LOVE Trump. These guys are the scum of the earth; murder, extortion, drugs, theft etc. etc. there's nothing they won't do for money, or just for "fun".

We know the militia types love him, the racists, white separatists, and the terminally stupid. Basically, just what Hillary said: the deplorables love Trump. Shit-birds of a feather flock together.

It was Fake News!

He's preparing an insanity defense. This is like the mob guy that used to walk around New York in his pajamas.

He's trying to look insane to escape charges. The question is ... is he aware of it, or is it subconscious personality?

Trump will run out of people and agencies to piss off. If you want to survive, it is not wise to make enemies out of everyone. For some reason Trump thinks everyone will roll over and play dead, but he can't make them sign non-disclosure agreements or sue them.
