(1,077 posts)Ma'am, how would you like your coffee or tea?
What the current administration has done to get into office is treason.

(19,204 posts)stepped on his dick with that stupid tweet. What am I saying! Trump hasn't seen his dick in decades, except in a mirror.....maybe. Donnie's little mushroom cap is hiding under all that "stored energy" from his McDonald's pig-outs. I swear, the guy has put on 20 lbs. since his "most attended inauguration in history".

(14,167 posts)And where's Giuliani? He all but disappeared after failing to land a plum cabinet post. Let's not forget that Comey was looking into the leaks to Giuliani before he was fired...
Comey said he didnt yet know whether anyone in the FBI had leaked information about the investigation to Giuliani or others, but it was a matter that he was very very interested in.
If I find out that people were leaking information about our investigations, whether to reporters or to private parties, there will be severe consequences, he told Sen. Pat Leahy (D-Vt.) in testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday.
But you are looking into it? Leahy asked.
Correct, Comey replied. He said he would let the committee know the findings of this investigation, although he might not release them publicly.

(51,129 posts)There are actions individuals take and there are official acts of government. Some people abusing their positions is very different than the FBI abusing its authority. Trump is attacking the institution for political reasons and that is simply wrong. Don't do the same thing and criticize him in the same breath.

(10,500 posts)And he absolutely knew it would be leaked. There was no other plausible outcome to his actions.
The sending of the letter was unnecessary and illegitimate.

(747 posts)Hillary Clinton's recent words couldn't be more apropos. Personally, I'm enjoying watching the FBI and Trump duke it out in public.

(81,514 posts)Wasn't that a great quote?! Epic! Who's having the last laugh now, donald?
One other thing I feel compelled to point out: consider how adult her response has been. How measured, and thoughtful it is. Even presidential. She's been a genuine class act through all of this and hasn't stooped down to the mud-wrestling level that has long been trump's default position. I keep finding myself thinking - "gee, who's the grown-up here?!"

(747 posts)Thanks for the welcome. I've lurked, then posted, then boycotted, then lurked, and am now posting again. The primary wars were just disgusting...here and everywhere...thus the boycott. I don't know why Democrats need to eat their own in order to nominate a presidential candidate. (And then don't vote because their candidate didn't win the nomination!)
And yup, Hillary is certainly a thoughtful grown-up.
