like most of my friends.. just working Americans hoping to retire and spend time with our grandchildren.

I don't consider his supporters "plain folks." Many are 10%ers, definitely wealthier than us plain folks, voting their self interests, saying things like "the country should be run like a business" and "a flat tax would solve everything." but the true agenda was to keep America white, and I believe that's the reason for the evangelical vote too. I don't put religious fanatics in the "plain folks" category either, getting their heart's desire..a base in Jerusalem and another forced birth nut on the supreme court, not priorities with most plain folks I know.

The majority of American voters did not vote for this.
