For any morans reading this: the wind is always blowing somewhere -- especially during the daytime when electricity needs are higher -- and the interconnected grid picks up the slack whenever/wherever the wind is intermittent. Is it a challenge? Sure, but electricity markets are developing ways to handle it.

tRump is not without intelligence, but he lacks the positive character traits associated with human decency and the intellectual curiosity to expand his horizons. His massive though fragile ego make him blind to his own limitations.

Next he'll plan to have NASA launch a team of astronauts to the sun, but he'll direct them to go at night so they don't burn up.

Yeah, cheap and easy rewrite of an old joke. But damned if he doesn't invite such things!

You can also used pumped storage by cutting the tops of a few mountains off and pumping water up when you have excess generation.

Batteries? Not yet economic by comparison.
